If we water vanity, we reap misery.

If we water vanity, we reap misery.

It has been happening for the past seventy plus years.

While the likes of J.C. Kumarappa wailed and wailed, we kept building bigger, better, taller structures all around the country ignoring our agrarian DNA and the self sustainable decentralized local economy based lifestyle codified in it.

Kids die.

Kids die regularly in large numbers.

Causes vary but results are still the same.

We are so numbed by its regularity and lack of effective remedial measures, such an earth shattering news slips to page 07 in a prominent National Daily, in a four para detached reporting that doesn't even mention the causes of death and what measures are put in place to avoid such a huge tragedy in the future, our future...

Why would they have to die?

Just because they were born in India?

Why, for a country, that boasts its prowess on almost all fields of knowhow, that can send satellites to distant planets, that aims to land Indians in Moon shortly, the power to prevent such deaths have been so elusive so far?

Why is this NOT a Front Page News? (This News Paper has run a bold big news in Page 1 on Corona virus, "COVID-19 cases rise to 29 in India"...)

Here lies our compromised DNA which goads us to play Gods...

If we water vanity, we reap misery. How come our Agrarian Nation keeps missing it year after year, misery after such miseries?

Incredible India!
