Time - frozen!
All of us have these little fragments of time frozen in our memories for reasons unknown to us. We remember them vividly out of the blue at some reflective moments but we won't know why they come back...some haunting and some uplifting. Each one has the power to paint a picture, just like a Haiku.

All of us have these little fragments of time frozen in our memories for reasons unknown to us. We remember them vividly out of the blue at some reflective moments but we won't know why they come back...some haunting and some uplifting. Each one has the power to paint a picture, just like a Haiku.
Sample these!
A kid in roller skates taking momentary rest in a bench next to a wheel chair bound quadriplegic kid in a mall...
A guy asking for 'some' medicine to 'correct' his sore throat telling the pharmacist that his wife died the day before and he lost his voice crying out the whole time (I still could recollect the timber of his broken voice)...
A stranger in a lonely road stopping a passerby, asking for the address of a local government office that is powered with issuing death certificates - he just lost a dear one in a city hospice and the hospice insisted on receiving that certificate before parting with the mortal remains of the faithfully departed. Deep in grief, none to support and having lost his sense of direction in an alien city, he was ambling around like a zombie...
An elderly worker sleeping atop staked up rice bags silently falling down from a loaded Lorry speeding over a speed breaker...
A mentally challenged kid bending down to lick the road...
Father and daughter duo walking down a cobble stoned, deserted road in a winter morning, puncturing the still air with their idyllic chatter...
The still chest of a baby girl kept in a casket at a hilltop cemetery...
Boxful of dead pigeons in a carton, dead during transport from one place to another...
The first shoot of Mango sapling emerging from the soil...
A victim of a bike accident kneeling in the middle of the road looking at the remains of his hands (lost from wrist down on both hands with flesh hanging down like dead flowers) too numbed to cry...
A beautiful peacock in full flight smashing against a wall in mid flight, falling down with a broken neck and dying, all within few seconds in front of your eyes...
A viper slithering at jet speed outside an open window while you are gazing from your dining table...
A husband and wife pair pushing their business cart in a lonely road during a hot summer day...
Fireflies emerging from an old tree at the dead of the night in front of a pond...
A baby bird nestling itself under a single leaf during a drizzle...
A nicely suited old man in a remote island being carried in a wooden chair by a cheerful crowd onto the board of a ship that waited for him way beyond scheduled departure ('yours truly' missed a inter-country train back to home in Europe just because this fella decided to visit some place same day!)
The sound of the ball slapping your back while playing Seven Stones game...and the pain that shoots up a tiny moment later...
Not all that we see/experience are burnt in our memories like these but some do!
Am sure your mind would have started conjuring up a few of your own such 'frozen moments' while you were reading this post :-)
Such is the power of Memories...
